Mac OS apps to install

This is a small list of applications that I use every day. After another reinstall of my system, i decided to make this list for myself - just to not forget something usefull. Most of these apps are free (or even open source), except of those wich are marked. I hope this list will help someone.

Web Browsers:
WebKit - open source web browser engine.
Firefox - famous open source browser.

IM:
Adium - looks like the only suitble instant messenger.
Chax - a collection of minor modifications and additions that make using Apple's iChat more enjoyable.
Skype - VoIP client and instant messenger.

Utilities:
Growl - a notification system for Mac OS X.
RDC - Microsoft remote desktop connection manager.
Transmit - shareware - powerfull FTP client with tons of features.

P2P:
Transmission - bittorrent client.

Multimedia:
VLC - powerfull mediaplayer
Perian - Perian is a free, open source QuickTime component that adds native support for many popular video formats.
Flip4Mac - Windows Media Components

Apple software:
iLife - trial, no download link - suite of digital lifestyle applications: iPhoto, iWeb, GarageBand, iDVD and iMovie.
iWork - trial - productivity suite for the Mac, iWork ’08 includes three applications: Pages ’08, Numbers ’08 and Keynote ’08.
Backup - Apple backup utility

Web services:
Last.fm - a music recommendation system and social network.
Twitterrific - adware - Twitter client
Яндекс.Фотки - extension that allows to upload photos to Яндекс.Фотки via iPhoto.
Picasa Web Uploader - extension that allows to upload photos to Picasa Web Albums via iPhoto.

iPodiPhone:
Senuti - allows you to transfer songs from your iPod to your computer.

Video porcessing:
VisualHub - video encoder

Image processing:
Pixelmator - shareware - Photoshop-like image editor.
Picturesque - shareware - image enchancer.

Widgets:
iStat - system monitoring widget.
